WILD WEST CHEVROLET by Lynn Bauer - While checking out the Paramount Ranch for wildflowers, I found that the old western town there had recently been used for the filming of a television series. Although the filming was done, many of the vehicles and props still remained strewn throughout the town. This vintage Chevrolet really caught my eye! I love the wonderful turquoise color, as well as the great antique feel of it! The old mining store in the background is covered with props from the show, as well. Clothes hang over the porch on one side and an old mattress lays across the other side. The security guard allowed me to shoot through the town, and informed me that the show that had been filmed is called, "Aquarius," and stars David Duchovny. I think I'll be checking that show out!
This ranch has been purchased by the National Park Service and is open for hiking through the surrounding hills. Obviously, the western town that was built in 1953 still gets used by the studios, and is...
