VIEW FROM THE TOP OF MAMMOTH'S TWIN LAKES by Lynn Bauer - This is one of my favorite stops in the Mammoth Lakes Basin. It is the Twin Lakes Overlook, across the road from Lake Mamie. The view is breathtaking looking out over the two lower lakes towards the town of Mammoth. This pretty view between the pines of the Inyo National Forest is especially beautiful as it is the place where the water falls from the upper lakes to the basin in a gorgeous waterfall. It takes a bit of maneuvering and rock climbing to get a view from the top...but, I have done it and have some lovely picture to show for it. California's Sierra Nevada mountains are chock full of this kind of majestic beauty!

I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset.
