TEXAS HILL COUNTRY POPPIES by Lynn Bauer - The fields of Wildseed Farms in Fredericksburg, Texas, are popping with gorgeous poppies this year! Some years when I visit the fields are full of a variety of different wildflowers...but, this year (2016) the predominant flower was the red corn poppy. There was field upon field of these gorgeous beauties!! In this particular field, a few pink and white poppies snuck in to add a little contrast! A pretty wooden arbor stands between a couple of lovely trees on the far side of the field. This is an idyllic springtime scene in the Texas Hill Country...and, one that I greatly look forward to seeing every year!!

I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset.
