SHADES OF FALL AT THE METROLINK by Lynn Bauer - Southern California does not see fall colors very often...but, when it does...it is definitely picture worthy! This year we had a cold snap during the fall that gave us some pretty intense colors. This scene was captured in Simi Valley, in the parking lot of the Metro Link Station. As the afternoon sun was backlighting these Crape Myrtle trees causing the whole parking lot to light up with a fiery blaze of color.

I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset.
