POWERFUL BEAUTY - CREATIVE LICENSE by Lynn Bauer - While out photographing the incredible California wildflower "Superbloom" of 2019, I found this gorgeous scene as two beautiful brown and white horses crested a hill above me. They appeared to be very well taken care of and friendly (probably because they were hoping I had treats for them) and they headed right towards me. They were definitely a powerful looking duo and the beautiful clouds behind them speak to the power of nature this year that brought us the rains that produced our incredible spring season!
The "creative license" of this image is in the color tones and textures that were used to create a more dramatic and powerful image.

I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset. One of my favorite past times has been to spend the spring season hunting down amazing wildflower blooms...including two years of "Superbloom" seasons in 2017 and 2019.
