KING OF THE WILDFLOWER PASTURES by Lynn Bauer - A gorgeous chestnut horse seems absolutely regal as he takes a moment from his wildflower feast in the Texas Hill Country. The other horses continued their eating, but this gorgeous guy took time to check me out and appeared to want to be petted (or, most likely be fed!) Unfortunately, I had no carrots, so he had to go back to his flowers! The spring wildflowers here are beautiful Texas blubonnets (the state flower), red indian blanket, yellow prairie daisy, and purple phlox.

I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset.
