Two Allen's hummingbirds have a face-off in my home garden.

Hummingbirds are so
amazing to watch.
They are very territorial
and will protect "their"
yard and "their" feeders
with a vengeance!
In this case, I have named
this "Hummingbird Dance,"
but, in reality, it was probably
more of a face-off than a
dance! Of course, they
only stay in any one place
for a split-second, and
sometimes it's hard to tell!
This was one of the first
times that I actually realized
that we had hummingbirds
migrating through our yard.
We always have a few that
stay in the yard year-round.
But, there are days where
there are so many that they
line up at the feeders...and,
this was one of those days!

I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset.
