FREE FALLING by Lynn Bauer - A gorgeous tree-lined road in the town of Mammoth Lakes, California, is blazing with fall color with the turning of the aspens. A gentle wind whips some of the leaves from the trees, and can be seen flying through the air, then landing on the street below. Autumn is such an amazing time...the air is crisp, the sky is blue, and incredible colors abound in the high alpine country. It is a town that is well-known for winter skiing, but is it also offers wonderful opportunities in every season. It is part of the Inyo National Forest in Mono County and is also part of the John Muir Wilderness area.
