COPPER POOLS AT SLIDE ROCK STATE PARK by Lynn Bauer - This is the top of the ride at Slide Rock State Park in Sedona, Arizona. People fill into the water of Oak Creek at this spot and slide down the natural rock slide that empties at the base of the rocks. The late afternoon sun in the canyon created the most beautiful reflections of the red rocks above...all coppery and truly, just gorgeous! A small pile of stacked stones sits quietly in the pretty waters as green leaves createa pretty framing. What a sight to behold!! I came looking for fall color, but didn't expect it to be from red rock reflections!!!

I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset.
