An adorable family of miniature donkeys roam ina pretty field of lavender wildflowers in front of their home. I had a nice talk with the man who owns these beautiful little creatures and he told me all about them and encouraged me to take as many pictures as I wanted. He even told me to feel free to hop the fence and get right in there. But, considering it was a barbed wire fence, I resisted the urge!!
I loved hearing the story about this precious little family! I believe that is "Dad" in the background, holding the stick in his mouth. "Mom" is up front on the left, next to the baby. The baby's name is "Pearl," as she was born on December 7th...Pearl Harbor Day!
These small donkeys were just so cute and friendly that you can be sure, I will be going back to visit them on my next trip to Texas!!
