Description
A TOUCH OF AUTUMN AT THE FALLS by Lynn Bauer is a lovely view of Lower Yosemite Falls after a rain storm. Typically in the fall, this waterfall is dry, but a much-needed rain got all the waterfalls flowing for a while before the winter snows set in. The one lone red tree at the base of the falls adds the perfect touch to know the actual season in which this image was taken.
Just for perspective, look for the people climbing on the rocks next to the red tree. If you are just glancing at the image, you will probably not see them. But, if you look closely, you will find one of them in a bright red shirt to the left of the red tree, about 1/3 of the way down from the top. The trees, the "rocks," and the waterfall are much, much larger than you would think!
Yosemite National Park is located in the High Sierra Mountain Range of California and is part of the Sierra National Forest.
