WE GOT THIS by Lynn Bauer - As fire breaks out in the Simi Pass, off the 118 Freeway in Simi Valley, during the Woolsey Fire in November of 2018, there were helicopters coming in from all sides to make water drops over the burning hillsides. As one would come up out of the smoke, another would head in...over and over and over. Sometimes they would alternate with big tanker planes...but these helicopter pilots were relentless in their attack on the threatening fire! The lower copter here is Los Angeles Fire Dept. LAFD and VCFD (Ventura County Fire Dept) have been working relentlessly on these fires!
