POPPY PARADISE AT THE TOP OF TEJON PASS by Lynn Bauer - Bright orange California poppies cover the mountain tops of the Tejon Pass in Lebec, California. This area is at the top of California's Grapevine which connects Southern California to the San Joaquin Valley of Central California. Springtime has brought incredible color to the scene as vibrant wildflowers splash across the landscape. In addition to the orange poppies, there are purple flowers (probably lupine or phacelia) and bright yellow goldfields. These mountains are part of the Tehachapi Range and the Tejon Ranch Conservancy.
