Description
HIGH DESERT WILDFLOWER SUNSET by Lynn Bauer - The High Desert towns of Lancaster and Palmdale, in California's Antelope Valley, can literally explode with wildflowers during the spring! This is a part of the Mojave Desert that is typically dry and barren. These fields are usually filled with tumbleweeds, not flowers. But, when the circumstances line up just right...this is a true sight to behold!! The desert landscape is transformed, and you feel like you have just wandered right into the Land of Oz!!! California's state flower, the orange California poppy, takes center stage. But, there are a large variety of other wildflowers that color every horizon. In this case, there is purple globe gillia. A beautiful sunset compliments the landscape, as if it is serenading those who stand in awe of this beautiful scene!
