WILDFLOWERS ALONG BEAR MOUNTAIN ROAD by Lynn Bauer - The spring bloom has just started along Bear Mountain Road in Arvin, California. I found this one hillside of bright blue lupines and gorgeous orange California poppies! Soon, many more flowers will be carpeting this entire area with every color of the rainbow! Springtime is delightful in California...especially when we have gotten much needed rain! This area is mostly owned by the Tejon Ranch Conservancy and access is limited through them. But, a bit of it is accessible on Bear Mountain Road, and the views are amazing!

I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset.
