WILDFLOWER JACKPOT by Lynn Bauer - One of my favorite photos from an incredible day of wildflower shooting in Lake Elsinore, CA. I definitely felt like we had hit the jackpot when stumbling upon this scene! Orange California poppies are the dominant flower in this image, and scattered throughout are purple Canterbury bells, and various other small wildflowers. The colors and the smell were just wonderful, as spring brought it's glorious bounty to the hills of Southern California! I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset.
