Description
UPPER TAUGHANNOCK BRIDGE IN FALL by Lynn Bauer - Taughannock Falls is a very well-known waterfall in New York's Finger Lakes Region. But, most people don't realize that there is another impressive fall above it, known as Upper Taughannock Falls. It is an incredible waterfall that can be seen from an abandoned railroad bridge at the top of the state park. That waterfall plunges 212 feet straight down into a spiraling gorge. This area was just above that fall and was part of the stream that feeds it. The fall color surrounding this bridge made it a wonderful stop along our fall color journey!
Taughannock Falls is located in the town of Trumansburg, New York, in the Finger Lakes District, just outside the town of Ithaca. Fall 2018
