Beautiful Godbeams fill the sky over the dock at Lake Mamie during an incredible summer sunset. Lake Mamie is part of the Mammoth Lakes area in the High Sierra mountain range in California. Mammoth is known for it's world-class winter sports...but, it is also a wonderful family destination in the summer. There are six local lakes that can be driven to in about five minutes time, with another six lakes that can be hiked in to. The scenery in the High Sierras is something that fills your heart with wonder and awe at it's beauty! As many times as I go there...it still takes my breath away every time!

I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset. One of my favorite past times has been to spend the spring season hunting down amazing wildflower blooms...including two years of "Superbloom" seasons in 2017 and 2019.
