SPRING PARFAIT by Lynn Bauer - There are so many layers of spring color here that it reminds me of a layered parfait! In the front is white horsemint, with a few purple mixed in for good measure. Then a layer of red firewheels, with a pop of yellow cacti flowers, followed by alternating layers of purple horsemint and more red firewheels. All this is topped off by the bright greens of fresh mesquite leaves in the trees. It was a stunning roadside scene in the Texas Hill Country with layer upon layer of dazzling color and beauty!

I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset.
