Artist's Description

A sign along the
trail in McGee
Creek Canyon
identifies this
part of the trail
as being in the
John Muir Wilderness
area. John Muir was
a naturalist and an
explorer who traveled
through much of our

that front the incredible granite
mountains of the Sierra.
This area is part of the
Inyo National Forest.
