RED CORN POPPIES AT BLANCO RIVER STATE PARK by Lynn Bauer - While taking a wrong turn into a neighborhood looking for wildflowers in the Texas Hill Country, I ended up on the back side of Blanco River State Park. Thankfully, these red corn popies caught my attention and I walked over to see this view of the Blanco River, which couldn't be seen from the road. I enjoy taking a wrong turn when I find a scene like this!

I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset.
