MORNING RUN by Lynn Bauer - While walking the boardwalk at Fiscalini Ranch Preserve in Cambria, California, I was able to not only view a gorgeous sunrise...but I was treated to the view of this pretty white egret enjoying his "alone time." Well, that was, until he saw me...and then he was off on his morning run!
The green grasses of spring on this preserve are especially beautiful now thanks to the abundant rain brought on by an El Nino season that was a very welcome relief to drought-stricken California!
The Fiscalini Ranch Preserve is a beautiful place for a stroll. It's boardwalk has great views all down the coast and, especially, of Moonstone Beach in Cambria.

I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset.
