This area is located in a backcountry wilderness area that is just the other side of the mountain from the upper areas of Yosemite National Park. In fact, there is a somewhat treacherous trail at the end of Lundy Canyon, by which you can hike into Yosemite. But, it is highly recommended that only the best of the best take that route!
