LOOKING BACK by Lynn Bauer - It's always fun coming to Santa Barbara. The view from the shore looking out over the Santa Barbara Pier to the Channel Islands in the distance is just stunning! But, it is equally as stunning to stand out on the pier and look back over the sparkling blue water to this beautiful coastal town with the lovely Santa Ynez Mountains as a backdrop!! This particular evening there was a light dusting of coastal haze over the mountains which picked up some pretty rays as the sun set over the mountain.
Of course, the beautiful line of palm trees along the shoreline add the perfect tropical flair to this well known town!

I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset. One of my favorite past times has been to spend the spring season hunting down amazing wildflower blooms...including two years of "Superbloom" seasons in 2017 and 2019.
