LAKE MAMIE PANORAMA by Lynn Bauer - A light breeze sends ripples through the water at Lake Mamie in Mammoth Lakes, CA. Morning has broken and the scene in front of me is just amazing! I came looking for fall colors, and although the only fall color here is the golden grasses...this view is just stunning!! The High Sierras are truly nature at it's best...no matter the season!!!
Lake Mamie is part of a series of lakes in the Mammoth Lakes Basin. Mammoth Lakes is located between Bishop and Bridgeport off Highway 395 in California. It is a town known for it's winter sports, but it is truly spectacular in every season!
The area is located in Mono County and is part of the Inyo National Forest
