GOLDEN OAK by Lynn Bauer is a lovely oak tree captured in the magical light of the "golden hour" just before sunset. This pretty spring scene was found while hiking trails through a protected canyon that is part of the Simi Valley Parks and Recreation. I'm sure that at the right time, you might find deer grazing on this pretty green grass, Or, on the other hand...there could be a mountain lion nearby! So, I was very thankful to find this peaceful scene just as it was!!
Simi Valley is in the far eastern end of Ventura County, just bordering the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County.

I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset.
