GARDEN BEAUTIES IN MOUNT CRESTED BUTTE by Lynn Bauer - There is no denying that Crested Butte, Colorado, is known for it's incredible wildflowers. But, there are also some amazing gardens that are planted with wildflowers, grown by the locals...and these flowers just took my breath away! Very large, bright pink and purple lupines, along with what may be blue salvia and yellow indian blanket flowers. I'm not sure I've ID'd the flowers correctly (other than the lupines) but I do know that they were gorgeous and the color combination was heavenly!
Crested Butte and Mount Crested Butte are towns in Colorado's San Juan Mountains, which are part of the Rocky Mountain chain.
