A majestic American bald
eagle sits perched high
in a tree at the end of
Lake George in the
Mammoth Lakes of
California as he spies
his next catch in the lake.
At the same time...I spy
on the eagle and get
a number of pictures
of him!! I had read
that there was a
known eagle hanging
out at the Twin Lakes,
also located in the
Mammoth Lakes Basin...
so, I don't know if this
is the same one, or
if there are multiple
eagles hanging out
in the area. It was
a thrill to see him,
and he sure didn't
seem to be phased by
our presence!

I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset.
