COSMOS COUNTRY 2 by Lynn Bauer - A glorious field of cosmos wildflowers growing at Wildseed Farms in Fredericksburg, Texas. Wildseed Farms is one of the true gems in the Texas Hill Country! Wildflower fields flourish throughout much of the year, as their seeds are harvested and sold here. Not only do people flock here to enjoy the beauty, but so do birds, including beautiful hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies! It's great when you can catch large groups of them as they migrate through the area. On this day there was a large butterfly migration happening, but most of the butterflies were flitting among the zinnias. Still, these pink, magenta and white cosmos were breathtaking all on their own!

I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset. One of my favorite past times has been to spend the spring season hunting down amazing wildflower blooms...including two years of "Superbloom" seasons in 2017 and 2019.
