BLUEBONNET SUNSET by Lynn Bauer - Turkey Bend Recreational Area is part of Lake Travis, just outside of Austin, Texas. This area has gotten a lot of attention in the past couple of years for the huge area of bluebonnets that had developed in the dry lake bed during the long Texas drought. This year, the lake has filled back to capacity, and I was hearing that people were disappointed that the bluebonnets had "disappeared." Well...I found some! Definitely not the huge fields of the past...but, beautiful with the much-needed water, and glorious with a pretty sunset reflection!
